Innovative power electronic architectures for electric batteries
TALENT aims to develop new modular, scalable and safe technological solutions for a cost-effective integration of electric batteries in the grid in order to enhance the flexibility in the energy system.
CARTIF Technology Center is a leading Spanish Applied Research Centre in terms of R&D and technology transfer activities. It was created in 1994 and gathered some 150 researchers. CARTIF currently participates in 48 on-going international projects, including 24 projects from H2020, of which 5 of them are under CARTIF’s coordination. CARTIF is part of the European E2BA (Energy Efficient Buildings Association). Additionally, CARTIF is one of the founding members and main promoters of the Smart City VyP initiative carried out in the Spanish cities of Valladolid and Palencia.

CEA is the French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (Commissariat à l'énergie atomique et aux énergies alternatives), a public body established in October 1945. CEA is the largest technology research and development provider in France, whose role is to transfer this know-how to the industry sector. As a technological research centre, CEA focuses on R&D activities from TRL 4 to TRL 7. Over 200 industrial partners, SMEs, French and International groups are permanently in contract with CEA to develop innovations aiming to maximise the penetration of solar system in the electricity network.

The Universidad de Oviedo is a public Higher research and education institution located in Asturias (Spain). In 2009, the Universidad de Oviedo was recognized by the Spanish Education Ministry as a Campus of International Excellence. Within this framework, the University has created two clusters, Energy, Environment and Climate Change cluster and Biomedical and Health to foster the smart specialization strategy of the region. Gamesa Electric (GaE) is a worldwide reference in the electrical equipment sector that entirely belongs to Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy Group (SGRE). With more than 1,800 photovoltaic power station inverters installed, GaE has led the Spanish power electronics sector since 1979.
